Thomas
"Tom" Dean, Chief Executive Officer of Revenue Management
Solutions LLC, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was awarded MBProject's
Person of the Year Award at the 3rd National Medical Banking
Institute for "his passion and commitment to excellence in the medical
banking industry." Presented by John Casillas, founder of MBProject,
Tom was hailed as having "unusual vision in the often complex cross-industry
niche' of medical banking...He has defined original concepts and models
in this exciting area."
Tom has a broad range of experience
in the software industry. Prior to RMS, Tom was General Manager of Remittance
and progressed to Executive Vice President of Advanced Financial Solutions,
leading growth from $8 million to $100 million at which time, AFS was
acquired by Metavante. Tom reported to AFS CEO and was responsible
for supervising all General Managers in AFS domestic divisions with focus
on sales, sales support, and product management. He was also tasked with
business development, proposing new business direction, advocating new
internal sales structures, alliance development, implementation strategy,
project management and other areas.
Prior to AFS (1993-1997), Tom
owned and operated Quality Software Engineering, a provider of custom
software solutions to the banking and garment manufacturing industries.
Before this he served as Director of Items Transport Division of REI Corporation
(1989-1993), responsible for product management, manufacturing scheduling
and new product development in the areas of image-based check transport,
reject/repair requirement, currency counting and verification systems.
Tom was Sales and Major Projects Coordinator for Banctec (1987-1989),
a large provider of bank imaging software. Tom began his career as a sales
representative for NCR Corporation (1984) in the banking division.
He is a graduate of Wabash College (1984).
