The Third National Medical Banking Institute is an exciting and educational cross-industry forum for the banking and healthcare community. At the Institute, we will explore how banks are supporting our healthcare community with new forms of interoperability that reduce operating costs and support better healthcare.

Cross-Industry Reactor Panels

Faciliated expert panels will feature authoritative, practical and useful information for attendees. These carefully moderated panels will focus on cross-industry issues in 4 areas:

  • Regulatory Panel: The impact of HIPAA, GLB, FACTA and other regulations on banking services for healthcare
  • Technology Panel: Cross-industries technologies that are being deployed to support electronic healthcare
  • Marketing Panel: Innovative methods to aggregate banking services for healthcare
  • Consumer Panel: The explosive marketplace of consumer-driven medical banking models

Audience Profile
Bankers, health care executives, policymakers, investment bankers, researchers, educators, lockbox managers, patient accounting executives, IT managers, academia, charities and others.

Presentation Style
We would like to find dynamic presenters who are experts on their subject, have performed research in a related topic and/or have real world experience. Our audiovisual (A/V) standard is PowerPoint, 35mm slide, overhead projectors, and VHS video, along with supporting materials, abstracts, and handouts in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) formats.

Speaker Expenses
Confirmed speakers will receive a complimentary registration to the Institute. Speakers are responsible for all other expenses associated with the event. Hotel rates, some with discounts offered in conjunction with the Willis Conference Center, start at $79 per night.  Please note that co-presenters or assistants are responsible for conference registration fees. Speakers are responsible for all costs associated with submitting a proposal.

Selection Criteria
When writing a proposal, speakers must follow the outline provided in the Speaker Registration Form. We will evaluate each proposal based on the following criteria:

  • Well-defined and realistic training or session objectives that the speaker can meet in the time indicated.
  • Content that is current, relevant, and practical.
  • Presenters with experience implementing programs covered in the proposal.
  • Presenters’ speaking experience (the planning committee must approve substitutions, titles and/or content).
  • Completeness, accuracy and appearance of the proposal.
  • Proposals that are focused on topical and important interest areas.
  • Please submit a separate proposal for each session proposed.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be required to:

  • Sign the speaker agreement contract that will detail the speaking date/time and session content.
  • Submit electronic copies of handout materials before the date provided in your speaker packet.
  • Provide your own laptop if using electronic (PowerPoint) presentations. A projector will be provided if requested before due date of your speaker packet.
  • Agree not to market specific products or services during your session.
